Surgical Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 4x10s, Day shift, No weekends
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technician to support our surgical team in delivering safe and efficient patient care. In this role, you will play a critical part in assisting during procedures. In addition. maintaining a sterile environment, and preparing surgical instruments. The ideal candidate is proactive, team-focused, and committed to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
• Set up operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Handle specimens according to established procedures
• Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering surgical supplies
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred not required
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
